Seeing red

Happy Tuesday loves! This week I am embarking on many an adventure in finalizing the preparations for my wedding. We are less than 4 months away and the nerves are hitting! There is so much to do and so little time! Initially when we knew the engagement was going to be a little bit over a year and a half we thought we had plenty of time to do everything and now the nail biting and sleepless nights begin! I can’t wait to get to the day of the wedding to know that it all turned out (fingers crossed)!

It actually took me some time to put this look together. I wasn’t sure about pairing the red shirt and skirt together. To tone it down (well really to contrast the bold red) I decided to add gold and nude accessories. I would have added some balloons but ran out of time (just kidding!). All in all though I am for sure a fan of red:)

Pop of color

Happy Wednesday! I love love love this look. I usually like bold looks but I’ve never done a look this bold and colorful. The striped pattern of the shirt and tweed texture of the skirt, paired with spring heels, really bring this look together. Let’s not forget the pink bucket purse (my current style must-have) and statement earrings (which I never go without). Well all, hope you have a wonderful day! And never be afraid to be bold!

Spring is upon us and so are nautical themed looks

Happy Tuesday everyone! This has been one of the comfiest and most nautical themed looks I’ve put together to date. I had always wanted a shirt dress because I love the boxiness of the look. I paired it with wedges to dress up the look and added my favorite bucket purse. And ofcourse my statement earrings couldn’t be missing. Happy Tuesday!

In blushing tones

Happy Monday everyone! Pink has always been my favorite color! I tried denying it for a few years but I’ve gone right back in just a few months. They just make the most beautiful clothes in the color blush pink, it always wins me over. I paired a loose blouse with a loose skirt in order to keep the look a bit laid back and not so constricting. To be honest, I put this whole look together based on the beret alone. I love hats and had never really worn a buret but was dying to dip my toes into that trend and I love it! I feel like it brought this look to the next level. I also added a nude purse (which has made many an appearance on the blog) and pink heels to complete this look (I’ve worn these heels 3 times already because the leaf details in pink are beautiful). All in all, I would definitely wear this look out with friends on the weekend, to a family party, or to an outing with my fiancé. Happy Monday!

Spring and winter in one

Happy Sunday! I am beyond happy that it is finally spring! We’re having some crazy weather in Las Vegas but summer is right around the corner and I am so excited-this has been the longest winter of all time! I decided to pair this look together as an intermediary look between winter and spring and I love it. As many of you may know, I am a tulle skirt girl until the end and would wear them every day if I could. I decided to pair this statement skirt with a plain black T and big statement necklaces (two stacked on top of one another to be exact) and black heels with pearls and small diamond style accessories. Let’s not forget the cutest pink bucket purse I’ve ever seen.

As you can see, I tried to pair bold pieces with more neutral pieces so that the look would be bold but not too much. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and that this look inspires you too!

Looking forward to warmer days

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! I am not a fan of a specific team but my sister throws a Super Bowl party very eyear so I watch the game annually. My favorite part of the game is the FOOD!!! From nachos, to hot dogs, to burgers, to guacamole, cucumber water, I love it all!

Now, on to this look, this outfit is a part of the new H&M collection that came out last week. I wore it yesterday and it was the perfect weather for it in Vegas. It has been so nice out during the day (it gets fresher at night) and I feel like it’s always like this right before the summer hits with all its fury. So, I always try to enjoy every day of spring weather in Vegas. I also bought this look with summer vacation in mind, it is the perfect airy outfit and you can pair the top with a skirt or shorts and you can pair the pants with a collared shirt and flowy short.

I paired this look with wedge Tory Burch heels which I bought last season. They are super comfortable! And good news! I just saw these wedges at Nordstrom Rack today for a mere $150! Hope everybody has a rest Sunday!

Festival ready this winter

I wanted to start this week off with a relaxed look! I am normally all about dressing up with the dress, heels, and jewelry but sometimes you just want to be relaxed. I felt completely comfortable in this loose shirt, black jeans and hat. I couldn’t dress completely down though (it would just not be me hahaha) so I paired this look with high heeled black booties which are super comfy.

Red on red

Happy Friday loves! As you may know, New York & Company is one of my favorite stores and this is a dress from one of their new collections. It does run a bit large so I would go down one size. You could also pair this with over the knee high heeled boots. Since I’m petite I always feel like with certain clothes I have to wear heels because they make me feel and look taller. With this dress though I felt like I could definitely have worn flats or sandals and it would have looked great.

I wore this look for Christmas and felt super comfortable. You could also take the red belt it comes with off and trade it in for a thin gold chained belt or even a black belt. I, myself, am not a huge fan of black so I always pair looks with golds, silvers, and coppers. Also, I tried something different with this look because I don’t usually wear clothes and earrings that are the same color and this time, I decided to pair a bright red dress with bright red earrings. I am into monochromatic looks more and more every day and this was another step into that stylistic direction. Well loves, hope you had a wonderful Thursday and thank goodness today is Friday!

Glitter, shine, and stars

Happy Thursday! It’s almost Friday loves (so excited for this-mainly because I plan on reorganizing my room hahaha)! So, I was planning on wearing this awesome dress on New Year’s Eve (and had been planning it for about a month already) but I was beyond exhausted so I opted for some comfy pants, a coat, and wedge boots.

This dress is perfect for any fancy occasion, not just New Year’s Eve. I’d wear it to a wedding, fancy dinner or date. It really is versatile and doesn’t necessarily fit only into one season. I would definitely even wear this in the summer. As to fit, I’m usually a 00, 0, or extra small and this dress is an extra small, however, it runs a bit large so I would definitely size down one size. Hope you enjoy this look!

Edgy with leather and pearls

Happy Wednesday! I love pairing edgier items with more sophisticated pieces in my wardrobe. For instance, I was excited to pair this pleather studded skirt with a flowy blouse and pointy boots with pearls, as well as pearl earrings.I was very comfortable and felt like a cool version of myself with pleather and boots!

For a really cold day you can add tights and over the knee boots with a puffy jacket. For a warm day, you can wear tennis shoes (converse would be my shoe of choice) and a T-shirt tied at the waist for shape. There’s just so many options!

Well, hope you had an awesome Wednesday and that this look inspires you to put together something of your own! If you do, tag me on Instagram (@susyslooks) so I can take a look!
